4. Obtaining Customers.

1. Your family, friends and coworkers are your best and easiest place to start. They in turn can refer other people to you and so on. Referrals are the BEST form of advertising, it’s usually free and people will believe their friends before they will believe an advertisement.

2. Here is a list of the major categories for you to target. Make sure you use our online location directory in the members area for finding medical offices in your area. You can also use your local yellow pages for phone numbers and address’s.

6 Hospitals
7 Laboratories
8 Pharmacies
9 Physicians
10 Surgeons
11 Veterinarians

3. Make a list. Using all of the recourses you have available, make a list of whom you are going to contact. You should include name, address and phone number for each person or office.

4. Make phone calls. If you are comfortable using the phone, this is a great way to contact and set up appointments to show your medical uniforms. “Hello, my name is ____________, could I speak with the office manager please. Hello, I would like to set up an appointment to show you our line of quality medical uniforms at great prices, when would be a good time.”

5. Send letters, flyers or postcards. If your uncomfortable on the phone you can send out letters, flyers or postcards. Within two weeks you should contact the offices by phone to verify if they have received the materials. Then ask if they would like a presentation.

6. Make and confirm appointments. Which ever method you use, you must make, confirm and keep your appointments with your customers. Do not be discouraged with a few no's here and there. There are many medical professionals who will prefer personalized service and have there uniforms delivered.

7. Flea Market. We have several distributors who are doing very well selling our uniforms at flea markets. Check in your area for availabile space. Selling at the flea market also gives your business greater exposure to the local community.

8. Local Adds. Advertise your products in local papers and magazines. This is yet another avenue to promote your products and services.
